PRIVACY POLICY Mokum Mono B.V. and its partners

1. In this privacy policy, we explain what information we use and how we store, protect, and process that information. This privacy policy applies to the use of: 

1.1 our website https://www.mokumono.com (the "Website"), 

1.2 our app (the "App"), 

1.3 The Website, Services, and App are collectively referred to as our "Platform". 

1.4 We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (the “Applicable Law”). This policy is effective as of April 20, 2021. 


2 Are you under sixteen years of age? 

2.1 If you are under the age of sixteen, you may not use our Platform without the consent of your parents or legal guardian.

3.1 In order to provide our Platform, we process personal data and non-personal data. “Personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person as defined in the Applicable Law. “Non-personal data” is data that is anonymous, aggregated, depersonalized, or otherwise does not reveal your identity.

4.1 We may collect and process your data at various times, such as when you visit our Website, create an account through our Website (for example, to make a purchase), use our Services, install and use our App or Rides feature, or when you contact us. The legal basis for our processing may be:

4.1.4 our legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party,

5 What information do we collect and process, and how do we use your information? 

5.1 When you use our Platform, we need the following contact information. We need this information for your interactions with Mokumono via digital/electronic tools such as email or phone; for example, to process your order efficiently and correctly, to connect you to your bike, for pre- and post-sales services, for the use of your account, to improve our services, for marketing purposes, and for other business/commercial purposes:

5.4.5 Bike settings, such as Speed Limit, Total Distance, and Battery Level. 

5.5 With your express consent, you authorize the App to collect and process non-personal cycling event data from your bike—such as distance, speed, battery level, and Boost usage—when you use our Rides feature. We use this data to perform the feature, provide support, improve our services and products, and for marketing purposes. The App does not share the cycling event data with third parties. 

5.6 After giving your explicit consent, you allow the App to access Bluetooth and GPS data (also referred to as location data). The App allows you to use Bluetooth data locally on your phone. The App does not share location data with third parties. Mokumono does not collect, use, or share location data on its servers. 

5.7 After giving your explicit consent, you authorize the App or the Bike, or both, to use location data for explicitly specified features. The App does not share the location data with third parties. Mokumono collects the location data on its servers and uses it to perform the feature. 

6 Market Research 

6.1 We may ask you to participate in market research. In that case, we will use your data for that market research. We use that statistical data in a pseudonymized form for Mokum Mono B.V. We do not sell, trade, or share your responses with others, nor do we make them public. Furthermore, your responses are not linked to your email address. 

7 Newsletter

 7.1 Mokum Mono B.V. offers newsletters. This way, you’ll stay fully informed about special offers and other news. We use a double opt-in system to ensure your consent. This means you verify your consent for each new subscription. We ask you to complete this verification via an email we send to the address you provided. Every time we send you a newsletter, you have the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter. 

8 Security 

8.1 We have reasonable procedures in place to prevent unauthorized access to and misuse of personal data. 

8.2 We use appropriate business systems and procedures to protect and secure the personal data you provide to us. We also employ security procedures and technical and physical restrictions on access to and use of the personal data stored on our servers. Only authorized personnel are permitted to access personal data in the course of their work. 

9 How long do we retain your personal data? 

9.1 We do not retain your personal data for longer than is permitted by law, and only for as long as necessary to enable you to use our Platform (including maintaining your online user account, if created), to comply with applicable laws, to resolve disputes with parties, and as otherwise necessary to enable us to conduct our business operations, including detecting and preventing fraud or other illegal activities. All personal data we retain is subject to this Privacy Policy. 

10 Who do we share your personal data with? 

10.1 Processors and Other Business Partners We may share your personal data with processors, as defined in the Applicable Law. We may also share personal data with third parties that are not processors, based on a contractual obligation, such as other data controllers that provide services related to the use of our Platform. We establish clear agreements with these parties regarding the use and protection of personal data. For example, we may share your personal data with IT service providers, marketing analytics providers, advertising platforms, payment platforms, cloud-based data storage providers, leasing companies, and consumer review platforms. They will, for example, store and visualize data, process transactions, and carry out marketing activities. 

10.2 Others, for legal reasons We may also share data with Mokum Mono’s subsidiaries, affiliates, and partners for legal reasons or in connection with claims or disputes. We may also share personal data if we believe it is required by applicable law, regulation, operating license, or agreement, legal proceeding, or government request, or when disclosure is otherwise appropriate due to security or similar concerns. 

10.3 Others, with your consent We may ask you to voluntarily participate in online or offline communications about Mokumono for marketing or informational purposes. 

11 Transfer 

11.1 The personal data we collect from you is stored within the European Economic Area ("EEA"), but may also be transferred to and processed in a country outside the EEA. Any such transfer of your personal data will be carried out in accordance with applicable law. 

12 Links 

12.1 You may find advertisements or other content on our Website that link to other websites. We do not review the content of these websites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We recommend that you read the privacy policies of those websites. 

13 Cookies 

13.1 Mokum Mono uses client-side browser storage, such as cookies. Cookies are text files that your device or browser stores when you visit our website. Mokum Mono may also use technologies similar to cookies, such as tracking pixels, Flash cookies, JavaScript, tags, and web beacons. We classify all of these technologies under the term “cookies.”

13.2 Cookies are used to send data from a server to your device or browser for storage purposes. On your next visit, this data is sent back to the server. This allows the server to recognize your device or browser.

13.3 We use the Facebook pixel, Twitter pixel, LinkedIn pixel, and Google AdWords Remarketing pixel to measure the conversion rate of our social media ads. For general website analytics, we use Google Analytics. We use widgets from Spotify, SoundCloud, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, and Google Maps to enhance our job postings.
